Catch-up and hold the Mustard

You'd think that after having two weeks off from work, I would have found some time to do some posting, but no....  So, it's time to catch-up.
We saw a full lunar eclipse on December 22nd.  I was ready to go to bed, but Lisa kept waking me up every hour just to see the differences.  Here is the best picture I got that night.  I could have added a lot of really blurry pictures.  The moon looked like a big Styrofoam ball just stuck up against a black screen that night.
On Christmas Eve day I volunteered at Meals on Wheels for about five hours.  If I can go another year without putting a chocolate brownie onto a tray, I'll be a happy guy. I don't have a picture for that.
Ella slept in until 8:30 on Christmas morning.  I got up at 8:31.  I got a little gizmo for my iPhone that keeps track of distance and time.  Instead of eating lunch, I set the program for 5K and ran.  After the 5K run, I turned and walked back to my car.  I managed to develop pretty impressive blisters on both my feet, but it was a beautiful day for a run.
The ability to run was because of my resolution last year to get in shape and lose weight.  My goal was 60 pounds from New Years Day to New Years Day.  I failed to meet that goal by 15 pounds, but 45 pounds was a really good start.  In that year I didn't eat at McDonald's even once, and I didn't drink any soda.  I think it made a difference.  Since New Years I've lost three more pounds, it's getting tough to get off these last few pounds.
I didn't make a resolution for this year, but I'm determined to accomplish last year's resolution.
